Hello, my name is Alison Barnhill, and I am an ISSA personal trainer. I have lived in Pacifica since 1994, and I am married with two teenage children.
Having a structured exercise routine has changed my life. Prior to joining a gym 10 years ago, I was not what you would consider an athlete. I found the gym intimidating and decided to hire a trainer and learn the "right way" to perform weight lifting exercises. After a few years, I was introduced to power lifting and began competing. I was hooked! I currently hold multiple state records and the title of world champion. After several years of
being a competitive power lifter, I decided that I wanted to help others
reach their fitness goals and live healthier lives.
I am a happier and healthier person because of the commitment I have made to exercising regularly. I would like to help you do the same. I am not strictly a power lifting trainier, but rather, I currently have clients working to reach basic fitness goals. My name is Chris Stewart. I own and operate Strongside Training Systems with my wife Michelle, and our son Terrin.
I have been an International Sports Science Association certified fitness trainer since 2002. Since I began my career as a fitness trainer, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of people with different fitness levels and goals. I have helped beginners learn the ins and outs of a fitness lifestyle and grow into advanced fitness enthusiasts. I have helped amateur competitors take the next step to becoming professional athletes, and keep them performing at a high level. I have worked to help people with different injuries rehabilitate themselves, and be able to live a lifestyle they thought they would never have again. However, I am most proud of my abilities to work with the youth in our community. Helping kids grow to be happy, healthy young adults is very important to me.
The areas that I excel in are: Strength training, agility and conditioning, sports specific training, and mixed martial arts. Whether you are young or old, man or woman. No matter what your fitness level is, I can help you succeed by setting goals and surpassing them with remarkable results!
